A tentative beginning...

Hi, my name is Jenn and I have rediscovered beading! 

I dabbled very slightly a few years ago...made a few baubles and wine charms but nothing fancy. I did the usual...took a couple of classes, bought a whole lot of supplies and played. It was very relaxing while it lasted. Then life reared its big head and I had to stop.

Now again, I find myself drawn to the craft. I follow a few pages on Facebook and I am in awe at the craftsmanship of others. As an artist I am naturally drawn to creativity and I am a natural looky loo...lol. However, peeking is not enough. I must create my own. I would like to create something simple and delicate like gold bracelets. Not necessarily goldsmith level, just chains, gold beads and other tiny baubles.

But gold is expensive! That explains why I want it. Still I would like to at least try a few and see how it goes. Unfortunately, I am not quite sure how to go about it. Hence, this blog...I am reaching out to the vast array of artisans out there and soliciting suggestions or just stories about your beading/gold crafting experiences.

This is my first blog so I am not sure how this is going work out. But you get nothing unless you make an effort. I present to you...my effort.
